Uncle Jesse Memorial Big Bass Classic
GENERAL RULES
ELIGIBILITY:
·
Contestants
must have a valid Texas Fishing License.
·
Participant
16 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult with written
permission
REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE:
·
All mail in
entries must not be post marked later than April 24, 2009.
·
The regular
entry fee will be $50.00.
·
An additional
$25.00 fee is required to register each four-man team.
·
Entry fee
must be paid before fishing.
SAFETY (THE
FOLLOWING IS MANDATORY):
·
Personal
floatation devices are required for each person on board. Life jackets must
be on and zipped while main engine is in use.
·
All State,
Coast Guard, Federal, and Parks & Wildlife regulations shall apply at all
times.
·
The
tournament will be help regardless of weather. Should conditions threaten
safety, please use caution.
·
Emergency
first aid is located at weigh-in site.
PERMITTED
FISHING AND HOURS:
·
Fish must be
caught on Pat
Mayse
Lake
between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009.
·
Contestants
may leave from any launch site on Pat Mayse Lake, but no fishing until 6
a.m.
·
The official
weigh in will start at 12 noon and end at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009.
·
Tune into
K95.5 - the official radio station for the Uncle Jesse Big Bass Classic –
for updates during the tournament.
TACKLE AND
EQUIPMENT:
·
All fish must
be caught on artificial bait by casting. No trolling with big motor. Only
one rod may be used at one time by contestant.
·
Bank fishing
is permissible.
WEIGH-IN:
·
Minimum length of fish to be weighed is 14",
mouth closed on a flat board. Game Wardens patrolling.
·
You must be
in the weigh-in line by 3 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009.
·
This is a BIG
BASS tournament ( one fish). ONLY large mouth, small mouth, and Kentucky
spotted bass (black bass) will be weighed in.
·
Only one fish
per contestant will be weighed.
·
All fish will
be weighed in at the OFFICIAL weighing station at Sanders Cove, Loop C,
Pat Mayse Lake. Any
artificially weighted fish or preserved fish will be disqualified, no iced
fish.
·
Any
questionable entry will be subject to inspection by marine biologist or
similarly qualified expert from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
POLYGRAPH
AND URINALYSIS:
·
Polygraph
tests will be given on a random basis and must be successfully passed.
·
Each
contestant, by signing the entry form, agrees to submit to the polygraph.
·
Any
contestant judged to be intoxicated or on any type of illegal drugs at the
time said contestant is required to take the polygraph examination, or is in
violation of any tournament rule will be disqualified.
·
Decision of
polygraph operator is final.
DECISIONS:
·
All decisions
of the tournament director are final.
·
All protests
must be registered in writing with the tournament director within thirty
minutes of weigh-in.
·
All ties will
be decided by a flip of the coin by the tournament director.
TOURNAMENT
PROCEEDS ARE DESIGNATED FOR:
·
Various
children’s charities of Lamar County.
ONLY ONE
PRIZE AWARDED PER ENTRY.
